You will work directly with Roke’s customers to integrate and support highly critical live solutions that have been developed by the wider project delivery team. You will take responsibility for release procedures and perform deployment tasks. You will also support live systems by triaging issues in production. You will contribute to the development roadmap by providing insight into customer needs and priorities.
You will provide technical consultancy on software, software engineering and software related technologies and approaches to other members of the Roke team, and our customers.
Why We Want You
You will have the ability to perform appropriate software engineering using a number of languages and techniques, as well as an interest in and ability to learn new and emerging platforms, technologies, techniques and approaches. You will also be familiar with Agile delivery, DevOps practices, software testing, and working with open source software.
- Packaging and deployment technologies such as Puppet, Kubernetes and Docker
- Experience with Flask, Pulsar or Zookeeper would be an advantage
Beyond your technical skills, you will be proactive and able to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. You will work well alone or as part of a team. You will be curious and seek out the best approach/solution/tool for the job at hand.
